- I already have books in my library - How do I import them into Oxylib?
Oxylib has been optimized so that it takes seconds to add a book to the library. Libraries of hundreds of books have been added to Oxylib in a couple of hours.
- What if I have hundreds or thousands of books?
If you have a very large quantity of books (close to a thousand or more), we recommend you get a barcode scanner and use it to import the books. The site is already optimized for import using a bar-code scanner and can import a book with a single keystroke. This can take less than a second per book. USB Barcode scanners can be bought for $70 or less. See for example: www.idautomation.com. Many users have got excellent results with the IDAutomation Plug'n Play USB Barcode Scanner. If you already have a list of your publications, please contact us for more custom import options. - Does the site work only with Amazon.com?
Oxylib lets you manage any book or periodicals, regardless of how you acquire them. Oxylib does provide an easy way to order books and track orders directly from the site but at this point you can only order books from Amazon.com.
- Can other site visitors see my company's books?
Oxylib sets up a separate site per company and site visitors can only see their own company's books.
- I have a large number of users, do I need to add them one-by-one?
You can use the Oxylib Users Upload Wizard to create multiple users from a file. You just need to prepare a list of users in a CSV file (can be easily generated from a spreadsheet). Once the users are added we can send them a welcome note by email, including their user name and password.
- Can I embed Oxylib into my own site?
You definitely can. The easiest option is to embed Oxylib into a frame in your site.
Other available options include embedding of partial views such as Recently Added Publications. Please enquire for more options
